  Employer Partner Requirements

Welcome to the Ticket to Work community — a resource for savvy employers looking to add value to their organization and prosper with the help of our nation’s most worthy, untapped resource: Americans with disabilities.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) wants to help you connect with qualified jobseekers (SSI or SSDI beneficiaries), who are equipped to contribute to your organization’s mission. SSA is committed to supporting employers in connecting with qualified job candidates. The Ticket to Work Program is a work incentive program that ensures beneficiaries do not lose their federal cash benefits while in the process of becoming employed.

Benefits to Enrolling as an Employment Network OR Employer Partner or BOTH!

If your organization is committed to hiring qualified workers with disabilities, you may choose (1) to Turn “Diversity into Dollars” by becoming an approved Employment Network (EN) - OR - (2) register as an Employer Partner to promote your organization as a disability-friendly employer on our website, where jobseekers will be referred to your job opportunities. You may choose to participate in both types of partnership.

Benefits of Becoming an Employer Partner

  • FREE posting of your company logo, a link to your careers website/job postings, and your company’s diversity hiring statement on CESSI’s Ticket to Work website
  • Get noticed by thousands of Americans with disabilities; research has found people with disabilities and their families prefer to give their business to disability friendly companies
  • For Ticket Holders hired, your company may qualify for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit.
  • Meet diversity hiring goals and reduce employee turnover
  • Promote a commitment to diversity, and a positive work environment that is accessible to all qualified applicants
  • Lower your turnover rate. Employees with disabilities statistically have a higher rate of loyalty and longevity 
  • Increase visibility to local service provider Employment Networks who will refer job candidates

Benefits of Becoming an Employment Network (EN)

  • Company listed in MAXIMUS online EN Directory providing the name of your company, location, contact person, and services you offer as EN to Ticket Holders (www.yourtickettowork.com).
  • After your organization becomes an EN and hires an SSA beneficiary (Ticket Holder) you receive payment from Social Security. Payments are calculated as your employee reaches prescribed earnings’ milestones or outcomes
  • As an EN, you will have access to a pool of qualified candidates through the MAXIMUS Beneficiary Referral CD, and other local Employment Networks
  • For Ticket Holders hired, your company may qualify for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit
  • Meet diversity hiring goals and reduce employee turnover
  • Promote your company’s commitment to diversity and a positive work environment that is accessible to all qualified applicants
  • Lower your turnover rate. Employees with disabilities statistically have a higher rate of loyalty and longevity

An EN and an Employer Partner

ALL of the benefits of both programs:

  • FREE posting of your company logo, a link to its careers website, and the company’s diversity hiring statement posted on CESSI’s Ticket to Work website
  • Marketing of company’s career opportunities and benefits of working at the company through the SSA Ticket to Work website, MAXIMUS online EN Directory, and CESSI Ticket to Work website
  • Additional non-restrictive revenue through EN payments after successful hire and from the Work Opportunity Tax Credit for eligible Ticket Holders
  • Access to a pool of candidates through the Beneficiary Referral CD
  • Meet diversity hiring goals and reduce employee turnover
  • Promote your company’s commitment to diversity and a positive work environment that is accessible to all qualified applicants

Employer Partner

As a Ticket to Work Employer Partner, you may showcase your company as a disability friendly employer to gain exposure to thousands of Americans with disabilities with a link to your career or job posting website. Criteria to join us as a Employer Partner include:

  1. Must be a commercial enterprise or establishment providing goods and/or services to a customer base, and actively seeking applicants to fill current job openings.

  2. Have a valid Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Tax ID Number.

  3. Possess a public statement of commitment to hire people with disabilities and show proof of such statement (which will be placed, along with a company logo, on the Business Partner page of CESSI’s Ticket to Work website, www.cessi.net/ttw/employer/partners.html).

  4. Provide proof of active membership to a local or national professional or trade organization, such as: Business Leadership Network, Chamber of Commerce, Cooperative Business Association, Human Capital Institute, National Association of Manufacturers, Small Business Administration, Society of Human Resource Management, National Industry Liaison Group, or Hotel/Restaurant Association.
