Local Transportation Information

The Galt House Hotel & Suites is located seven (7) miles or approximately fifteen (15) minutes from the Louisville International Airport.

Hotel Shuttle Service

The Galt House Hotel & Suites offers airport shuttle service to/from the Louisville International Airport through a partnership with Sandollar Limousine.  Advance reservations are required and can be made by calling 502-561-4022 or visiting their website at www.sandollarlimo.com. Sanddollar offers service to/from the airport and downtown Louisville from 7:00am until 8:00pm daily at $10.00 per person, each way.  Service before 7:00am or after 8:00pm is $17.00 per person each way. Please make your reservation no later than 48 hours prior to your arrival date.

Taxi Service

The cost of taxi service from the Louisville International Airport ranges from $18.00 - $25.00 one way. Upon arriving at the airport, please proceed to the transportation booth on Level 1.

Wheelchair Transportation Service

The following companies offer wheelchair lift van service to/from the Louisville Airport and the Galt House Hotel and Suites at approximately $18.70 one way. Advance reservations are not required. Upon arriving at the airport, please proceed to the transportation booth on Level 1.

TARC (Transit Authority of River City)

TARC is the local bus system and is inexpensive to ride.  Pick up is approximately one block from the hotel.  All buses are wheelchair accessible.  For routes, schedules and fares, visit the website at www.ridetarc.org or call 502-585-1234, TTY 502-587-8255 Monday – Friday from 6:00am – 6:00pm or Saturday from 7:00am – 3:30pm.

FROM THE LOUISVILLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Travel west on Terminal Drive toward Administration Drive. Merge onto I-65 N toward Downtown/Louisville/Indianapolis. Take the Brook Street Exit (136B). Stay straight to go onto S. Brook Street. Turn left onto E. Muhammad Ali Boulevard. Turn right onto S. 2nd Street/KY-1020 N. Continue to follow S. 2nd Street. Turn left onto W. Main Street/US-60 Truck W/US-31W W. Turn right onto N. 4th Street. Hotel is located at 140 N. 4th Street.

TRAVELING SOUTH I-65

Take the St. Louis, I-64 exit after crossing the Ohio River. Take the Third Street exit to Main Street.  Turn right on Main Street.  Go one block to Fourth Avenue and turn right.  Continue on Fourth Avenue to hotel entrance.

TRAVELING NORTH I-65

Take the St. Louis, I-64 exit.  Take the Third Street exit to Main Street.  Turn right on Main Street.  GO one block to Fourth Avenue and turn right.  Continue on Fourth Avenue to hotel entrance.

FROM CINCINNATI

Take the I-64, St. Louis exit off I-71.  Continue on I-64 to the Third Street exit.  Go to Main Street.  Turn right on Main Street.  Go one block to Fourth Avenue and turn right.  Continue on Fourth Avenue to hotel entrance.

Parking

Galt House Hotel & Suites has 3200 on-site covered parking spaces including 29 accessible parking spaces for hotel guests. The current charge is $12.00 per night for self parking and $18.00 per night for valet parking.
