Frequently Asked Questions

Q:
I received an invitation to the Ticket Partners Summit, but I will not be able to attend. Can I send another representative from my organization in my place?
A:
If you received an invitation and cannot attend, but would like to substitute another member of your organization, please submit the request in writing to ticketpartnerssummit@cessi.net no later than February 20, 2008 and prior to submitting your registration. All invitees who submit substitution requests will be notified via e-mail once their requests have been approved.
   
Q:
I understand that my lodging and air travel expenses will be paid for non-federal employees by the Program Manager for Recruitment and Outreach (PMRO) contractor. Are my meals and ground transportation expenses paid for as well?
A:
All participants will be responsible for paying for their own meals, incidental and ground transportation expenses.
   
Q:
I understand that my lodging and air travel expenses will be paid for by the PMRO contractor, but will the lodging and air travel expenses for my personal care attendant be paid for as well?
A:
If you have a disability that requires you to travel with a personal care attendant, the lodging and air travel expenses for your personal care attendant will be paid as well.
   
Q:
Am I required to pay for my air travel and be reimbursed after the conference?
A:
The air travel will be prepaid for all non-federal employees by the PMRO Contractor. All federal employees should contact their designated federal travel agent to make flight arrangements.
   
Q:
Am I required to pay for my lodging expenses and be reimbursed after the conference?
A:
The sleeping room and tax will be prepaid by the PMRO Contractor for all non-federal employees. Federal employees are required to pay for their lodging and request reimbursement with their agencies under regular Federal travel rules.
   
Q: I would like to make my own lodging arrangements. Is it possible for me to contact the hotel directly?
A: All participants, including federal employees, must make their lodging arrangements through PMRO. You will have the opportunity to indicate your arrival and departures dates, sleeping room preferences and any special needs during registration.
   
Q: Will the PMRO contractor pay my lodging expenses if I decide to arrive at the hotel before March 10 and extend my stay after March 14?
A: The PMRO will not pay for lodging arrangements outside of the authorized conference dates of March 10 thru March 14.
   
Q: If I decide to extend my stay at the Galt House beyond the dates of the conference, am I responsible for making my reservation?
A: Yes.
   
Q: If I decide to extend my stay, will I get the special summit rate? If so, what are the summit rates?
A: The Galt House Hotel is offering the special rate of $97.00 plus 15.01% tax per night to attendees three (3) days prior to the official start of the conference (March 7, 2008) and three (3) days following the conference (March 17, 2008).
   
Q: Can I make my own travel reservations and submit the travel receipts for reimbursement or is it necessary for me to book my travel through Up and Away Travel?
A: All non-federal employees must book their air travel though Up and Away Travel. Federal employees should contact their designated federal travel agent to make flight arrangements.
   
Q: What is the designated arrival day for the summit?
A: The designated arrival day for the summit is Monday, March 10, 2008. There will be a reception beginning at 7:00 pm on March 10.
   
Q: What is the designated departure date?
A: Participants must stay through the end of the summit. The summit concludes at 12:00pm on Thursday, March 13, 2008. You have the option of departing on either Thursday, March 13, 2008 or Friday, March 14, 2008. You must indicate your arrival and departure dates as part of the registration process.
   
Q: What are the onsite check-in hours?
A:

The summit registration desk will be open as follows:

  • Monday, March 10: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Tuesday, March 11: 6:00am – 4:30pm
  • Wednesday, March 12: 7:00am – 4:30pm
  • Thursday, March 13: 7:00am – 12:00pm
   
Q: Is there a registration deadline?
A: The deadline to submit your registration is February 25, 2008.
   
Q: Will I be able to register at the summit?
A: All participants must submit their registration to the PRMO by February 25, 2008 so that we can coordinate their travel and lodging arrangements.
   
Q: What is the conference attire?
A: The conference attire is business casual. Meeting room temperatures can be cool. We suggest that you bring a sweater or wear layers of clothing for comfort.
   
Q: What meals will be provided during the summit?
A: There will be a cocktail reception on Monday evening featuring light hors d’oeuvres. Continental breakfast featuring coffee, tea, decaf and an assortment of breakfast breads will be served each day of the summit, and lunch will be served on Tuesday only. Coffee and tea will also be served during designated break times.
   
Q: Will my personal care attendant be able to participate in the scheduled meal functions?
A: Yes. Please be sure to indicate your personal care attendant’s name of the registration form.
   
Q: Will copies of the summit proceedings be available after the conference? If so how can I obtain them?
A: All speaker presentation materials will be posted on the summit website for a short time after the summit.
