CESSI manages a full life cycle conference and meeting
support to assist in the planning
and execution of three to four MHS Leadership Conferences
as well as full life cycle conference management support
for the TRICARE Financial Management Education Program
(TFMEP).
TRICARE is the healthcare program for active duty
and retired service personnel, their eligible families,
and survivors. TRICARE combines both military and civilian
services to deliver the highest quality healthcare. The
Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, has
historically sponsored conferences to facilitate the execution
of the TRICARE health benefit program, because they can
be used to promulgate the execution of strategic plans
through the leadership at all levels of the Military Health
System (MHS). The demands for leadership development, group
planning and agile policy implementation within the MHS
can be met through the Department of Defense (DoD) -sponsored
conferences and meetings.
CESSI operates a task order
contract to provide logistics management, perform and coordinate
studies and analyses in support of the Office of the Assistant
Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (OASD), TRICARE
Management Activity (TMA). CESSI works
closely with the client to perform workforce analysis and
draft plans and strategies for a Government-approved strategic
management process to capture and meet TMA’s goals in regards to development, preparation,
and facilitation of meetings, trainings, and conferences
hosted by TMA. These plans and strategies will provide
TMA with a baseline for development of strategic plans
to enhance the overall mission and to retain skilled and
dynamic leaders for the MHS.
Under this contract, CESSI provides TMA with program and
logistics management and support for three conferences
and multiple trainings, to include:
- Pre-Event Program and Conference
Management and Support. Site Selection, Vendor Contracting and Management, Pre-Registration,
Web Support, Speaker Management, Program and Publication
Development, CME Accreditation, etc.
- On-Site Conference
Management. Registration, VIP Management and Support,
Audio/Visual Support, Staging Guide Development,
and Vendor, Speaker and Media Management and Support,
etc.
- Post-Conference
Evaluation, Summary and Reconciliation. Final
Conference Analysis, Participation Reports and Summaries,
Evaluation, Lessons-Learned Documentation, Development
of Thank-You Correspondences, and Invoice Reconciliation,
etc.
The TRICARE Financial Management Education Program (TFMEP)
offers training courses with the objective of helping participants
understand the financial implications of the Military Health
System (MHS) business environment. The primary focus of
the course is on Private Sector Care (PSC) Budget Activity
Group (BAG) information and skills essential to success
in the rapidly changing MHS environment. Participants
may attend TFMEP in a Basic or Executive level course. CESSI provides conference support for the TFMEP Basic and Executive
level courses in conjunction with the Private Sector Care
Requirements and Integration Office.
